Our youngest daughter, Ruth lives at home and the children enjoy seeing her when she is not working.

Ruth is DBS checked.

Registered Childminders provide childcare in their own homes. I am registered with and inspected by Ofsted and work to the same statutory framework (The Early Years Foundation Stage) as all other childcare settings such as nurseries and preschools. 

 

Childminders can offer your child fantastic consistency of care, I work with small groups of children and treat each child as an individual. My family style environment means that siblings can be cared for together as they would be at home and children of different ages play together and form lasting friendships.

I work very closely with all my parents so I can ensure that children are fully supported. I use an online system called Babysdays which includes all of my administration such as billing but also enables me to share photos and planning with you as parents so that you can be a part of your child's day.

Sustainable travel.

I transport the children by cargo bike, its a safe and fun way to travel and we have some great adventures.

Colchester is lucky to have a good network of safe cycle paths and more on the way.

I am trained and insured to carry the children by bike.

For longer journeys we use the bus or train.

I am proud to be the  Childminding Partner for the Stronger Practice Hub. Supporting Childminders across Essex and Hertfordshire. I am also a Tutor/Assessor for ACL working with ECC to upskill the Essex early years workforce.
